Yesterday, at about 11:30pm, the Police were infored of a car accident that had just happened in Alfredo Cachia Zammit Street, Żejtun.
The district police immediately went to the scene of the accident, where a preliminary investigation confirmed the crash happened between a Volkswagen Golf, driven by a 19 year old and a Kia Picanot, driven by a 30 year old. Both drivers reside in Żejtun.
Both drivers were taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where the 19 year old driver was confirmed to be suffering from grevious injuries whilst the 30 year old driver was only slightly injured.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
