During the launch of the PN’s electoral campaign and the presentation of the Party’s candidates for the European Parliament and Local Council elections, the Leader of the Opposition Adrian Delia said “Together, for our country, we can improve the standard of living for Maltese families”.
Adrian Delia said that the Socialist Government does not care for Maltese and Gozitan families who are paying €725 million annually because of corruption. The Government doesn’t care that the middle class are not managing to make ends meet because of the increase in the cost of living; or even the elderly whose pensions are not sufficient.
The Leader of the Opposition also said that the PN electoral campaign will focus on people’s concerns. This is why the Party chose the Together, for our country slogan, so together with all those people who mean well, we will overcome challenges which are a result of the Socialist Government’s corruption, the threat to democracy, and an economic model which only increases the country’s population, with no plan and which results in even more difficulties.
The PN Secretary General Clyde Puli said that the Party’s message is very clear. We are working together for everyone to have a better standard of living, without sacrificing our country, our environment, our identity and our values. PN candidates work in Malta and their locality’s best interests. Clyde Puli also said that in the coming weeks, the PN will publish its electoral manifesto for the European Parliament elections as well as for the 68 local councils.
Clyde Puli announced that next Sunday 28 April, the electoral manifesto will be presented to the PN’s General Council for the upcoming elections. The General Council will also be addressed by the Chairman of the European People’s Party Manfred Weber. Clyde Puli also said that the PN will be organizing a fundraising marathon on Wednesday 1 May.
