If Muscat got his way, Malta will be isolated – since neither the EU or the Local Councils were ever his super-favourites

Joseph Muscat has no credibility and can never be believed when he says that the EU cannot just be spoken about but must be experienced. If he got his way, Malta would have never joined the European Union since it was never his super favourite.

The PN said in a statement that Local Councils are also not Joseph Muscat’s super-favourite and in fact, is denying 16 hamlets the possibility of electing Administrative Committees to represent them, just like he delayed elections for half the island’s Local Councils two years ago.

If 15 years ago, Joseph Muscat managed to stop Malta from joining the European Union, he would have stopped all the youths, who will be voting in the elections in three weeks, from benefitting from the many opportunities available specifically for the younger generations. If Joseph Muscat got his way, then small businesses and several industries that were nurtured by PN Governments would not have benefited from over €2 billion in EU funds. On Workers’ Day, Joseph Muscat still has no plan to help the middle-class who cannot make ends meet, has no plan to fight cheap labour and spiraling costs of food prices.

These are the problems local families are facing as a result of the Socialist Governments policy to grow the economy by increasing the population, without any sustainable and long term plan. Ironically until only recently the Socialist Government was insisting on push backs! The PN concluded that it will continue its positive, no-hate campaign, full of proposals and an electoral manifesto that guarantees that PN MEPs will work in the best interest of Malta and Gozo.
