Despite Joseph Muscat putting on a show a few days ago at a political activity and using a woman of colour at a political activity, claiming that the mentality of locals towards migrants is changing, whilst speaking to The Times of Malta, NGOs said that there is no evidence to justify these claims.
The Director of Aditus, Dr Neil Falzon, said that despite many people condemning the murder of Lassane Cisse, nothing has changed.
Falzon criticized the Prime Minister’s attitude, after he shied away from acknowledging that the motive was purely one of a racism.
Claudia Taylkor East also spoke out on behalf of SOS Malta and said that a lot still needs to be done in this sector. She said that a murder should not have to happen in order to start a serious discussion on racism.
