Skont l-aħħar statistika maħruġa min-Nazzjonijiet Uniti, ‘il fuq minn ħames miljun refuġjat, sallum, ħarbu mill-Ukajna mindu l-qawwiet tar-Russja invadew dan il-pajjiż, fl-24 ta’ Frar li għadda.

L-eżodu allarmanti mill-fruntieri tal-Ukrajna kien ikkonfermat mill-Kummissarju Għoli tan-NU għar-Refuġjati (UNHCR).

Intant, l-Organizzazzjoni Internazzjonali tan-NU għall-Immigrazzjoni (IOM) sostniet li kważi 215,000 persuna li la huma ċittadini tal-Ukrajna u lanqas ċittadini tal-pajjiżi ‘li spiċċaw fihom b’kaġun tal-gwerra, ukoll kienu kostretti jaħarbu mit-territorji Ukreni lejn l-Istati ġirien tar-reġjun.
