A Government that doesn’t care

Early this morning the PN kicked off its electoral campaign which will lead up to the European Parliament and Local Councils election on 25 May.

‘A Government that doesn’t care’ – this is the message the PN is using in its first billboards put up around Malta, using corruption as an example, which is costing the Maltese tax payer €725 million annually. This is money which could otherwise finance so many projects in healthcare, education and infrastructure.

The PN is also using its first billboard to insist that Government also doesn’t care that pensions are not sufficient to live a decent lifestyle and make ends meet for medical expenses.

The cost of living continues to increase so much that an average wage is no longer sufficient for Maltese families. This is another message the PN billboards around Malta and Gozo focus on.

The PNs first billboards also follow on Adrian Delia’s promise that the PN’s electoral campaign will speak about people’s concerns and their problems.

In the meantime, the Socialist Government immediately attacked the PN billboards which only goes to show how the PN’s message really hit the nail on the head. On the other hand however, the Socialist Party’s billboards do not say much. Their General Conference which will happen next Sunday has no theme and it is instead branded around Joseph Muscat, as though he will be the topic of discussion.

Social media feeds this morning were flooded with people reacting to the Socialist Party’s lack of ideas and political vision. A Party that is discussing itself rather than people’s problems and concerns.

On the other hand, the PN is urging everyone who means well to unite with one strong voice, together, for our country.
